Participation Instructions

Step 1
Visit the program website at http://www.bgesmartenergy.com/business/building-operation-training or contact us at 410.290.1202 with any questions about eligibility.

All participants must first meet minimum eligibility requirements mandated by the associated educational organization prior to submitting an incentive application with BGE to ensure that all course and certification standards have been met through the learning institution.

Complete and sign the Terms and Conditions form, then upload it to your online application. Fill out the form electronically using our convenient, fillable PDF to save time, paper, and hassle.

Step 2
Complete the application by clicking the "Begin Application" button below.

All applications will be reviewed for eligibility and completeness. Completed applications will be reviewed in the order received. Applicants who submit incomplete applications will be notified of errors via the email address provided.

Step 3
All BOT applications require pre-approval. Once an application is pre-approved, you will be issued a pre-approval letter by email. All courses must be completed within six months of the pre-approval date. You must notify BGE in advance if an extension is needed.

Step 4
Within 30 days of course completion, submit copies of the course invoice and course certificate (or similar documentation). The incentive check will be mailed within about 6–8 weeks of final approval of your application.
